Dr. Mark Ruther

Dr. Ruther is a dedicated dentist, former U.S. Air Force captain, and instructor pilot with a passion for holistic and biological dentistry. He is a proud husband and father of three.

An active member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), the Holistic Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Cincinnati Dental Society, Dr. Ruther remains committed to advancing dental care through science-based, patient-centered approaches.

Born in Cincinnati, OH, in 1985, Dr. Ruther grew up with four older brothers. From 2003 to 2007, he attended the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he excelled as an intercollegiate varsity boxer and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Following his graduation in 2007, he completed Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training in 2008, earning a selection as a first-assignment instructor pilot. By 2010, he had accumulated over 1,300 flight hours in the T-1A while training students and was recognized as “exceptionally qualified.” His deep respect for the environment led him to pursue and complete a Master of Science in Environmental Management in 2010.

From 2012 to 2014, Dr. Ruther flew the C-130E/H at Little Rock Air Force Base before transitioning out of military service to pursue a career in dentistry. He returned to Ohio and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, graduating magna cum laude in 2019.

Between 2019 and 2021, Dr. Ruther worked in emergency dentistry, treating patients in urgent need of care. He has since pursued extensive continuing education in biological dentistry and dental implants, attending IAOMT conferences and completing the Implant Pathways Continuum educational program in Arizona.

In 2021, Dr. Ruther partnered with Dr. Westendorf to serve the northern Cincinnati community, offering comprehensive general and holistic dental care. His practice focuses on personalized, patient-first dentistry, integrating the latest advancements in biological and biocompatible treatments to ensure optimal oral and overall health.
